Janet Strauss is a documentary filmmaker and owner of Remember That, a full service video production company that caters to private individuals, schools and philanthropic organizations. At 25 years old Janet Strauss came to Los Angeles for fame and fortune, and a dream to edit feature films. She made that dream come true as a full-time editor with companies like Lifetime and HBO.

After her son Jacob was born, she decided she wanted to do something that was more meaningful and be more present in his life. Janet realized that personal documentaries have a longer shelf life than most movies and TV shows and these kinds of films are what inspire and bring and love to many families. Janet recently traveled to South Carolina where she’s working on a legacy of amazing woman, 102-year-old Margo Strauss Freudenberg, who is not only her cousin, but a Holocaust Survivor and has been an incredible community activist.

Janet considers herself a “forever child.” Recently she felt in awe, realizing she’s become Facebook friends with every significant person from her past, since the time she was 2 through college. Amazing! And she has an awesome laugh – you could hear it a mile away while she watched the movie “The Hangover.” If there is a bottle of vodka and a poker game, she is sooo there!!
