During this time of health care reform talk, Joy Fruth walks the talk. She’s actively involved in improving medical care for geriatric patients, families and caregivers. Joy, an associate clinical social worker with an interest in aging-related issues, is the Program Director for S+AGE™ (Specialized Ambulatory Geriatric Evaluation). She hails from Ohio where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Miami University of Ohio and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver. Oh yay, Joy is a do-gooder and thrives on the idea that she might help people and make a difference in their lives. We need more people like you, Joy!!!
Joy currently serves on the Advisory Council of both the Circle of Care Leeza's Place and the LA Caregiver Resource Center. Her social work experience has also included work at ONEgeneration, Motion Picture & Television Fund, and with the national offices of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and American Humane Association.
When not working you might find Joy at a Flaming Lips concert, at a Dodger game (she’s a huge fan) or hiking at Griffith Park.
